Week 12

e-book for children

This would be the 12^th week of my resources class. First of all, Puan Foziah showed two e-books that have been prepared by our seniors. She wanted us to see the differences between the two e-books. The first e-book, ‘Keluarga Saya’ is quite simple as it only contains pictures and recorded sound. The second e-book is more attractive as the creator inserted lots of animated pictures (animals) and songs. Thus, I realize that in order to come out with good e-book, the combination of good pictures, and sounds are very important. She also told us to insert ‘navigation’ tool in the e-book that will enable us to move to the ‘next slide’ and return to the ‘previous slide’ in an easier way.

Besides, she reminded us to select meaningful theme before creating the e-book. Then,  it must have the plot ( conflict, climax and resolution). Moreover, the story must have clear characters and also the setting (Time and Place).

After that, she distributed the continuation parts of Module 2 and  showed a sample of video editing as we are going to do video editing for the next task in Module 4. She did tell us about the criteria for a good video. Then, we have to choose our own pair and select topic from KBSR syllabus. Chrispin and i choose ‘Sea World’ topic.
